I'm a production assistant at NBC New York and a freelance writer based in New York.
At WNBC, I work in the heart of the newsroom -- the assignment desk! -- delivering news updates, answering phones, contributing to script copy, and conducting interviews in the field. On set, I prepare and run scripts for the evening newscasts and work with the best reporters in the #1 media market.
Outside of the newsroom, I am actively involved with New York Women in Communications -- an incredible organization sponsoring career-altering scholarships and networking opportunities for young women in the communications field. I was lucky enough to win two scholarships, and now I pass it on as a proud volunteer and member of the editorial team.
I graduated from Marist College in May and took home the Excellence in Journalism Award. I became Editor-in-Chief of the Marist Circle in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. Under my leadership, the Circle's website views tripled, and the paper won a Crown Award from the Columbia Scholastic Press Association. As editor, I also directed a special edition the Circle's annual initiative "For the Record" with a focus on The Changemakers of 2020.
My reporting on breaking news, COVID-19, business, culture, entertainment, mis/disinformation, and more can be found in print or online at:
